| Whenever possible we like to have students prepare their own 
            snack. We like to have snacks pertinent to unit being studied. We 
            use simple recipes with ingredients and measuring devices 
            laid out in a line on a table and have them prepare recipe by moving 
            from station to station. Recipes are prepared on card stock.  
            If recipes are to be reused it helps to laminate them. All recipes 
            begin with the card indicating wash hands. The following is an 
            example of a simple recipe.  Teachers must prepare mixes ahead 
            of time.  Recipes are cooked in electric skillet in in paper 
            cups with rims around bottom to prevent burning on bottom. |
