FOUR LITTLE BLUE BIRDS

Four little blue birds up in a tree.
One flew away, then there were three.
(Remove one bird from the board)
Three little blue birds with nothing to do.
One flew away, then there were two.
(Remove another bird)

Two little blue birds, sitting in the sun.
One flew away, then there was one.
(Remove another bird)

One little blue bird, sitting all alone.
He flew off and went back home.
(Remove last bird)

Time to Rise

by Robert Louis Stevenson

A birdie with a yellow bill
Hopped upon my windowsill,
Cocked his shining eye and said:
"Ain't you 'shamed, you sleepyhead!"

The Crotchety Crow

Caw caw said the crow with a gleam in his eye,
Caw caw said the crow from high in the sky,
Whose nest shall I rob for my dinner today?
Whose nest shall I rob, I'm a bird of prey.

Robin Red Breast

Little Robin Red breast sat upon a tree,
Up went pussy cat and down went he;
Down came pussy, and away Robin ran;
Says little Robin Red breast, "Catch me if you can".
Little Robin Red breast jumped upon a wall,
Pussy cat jumped after him and almost got a fall;
Little Robin chirped and sang, and what did pussy say?
Pussy cat said, "Meeow!" and Robin jumped away.

A Wise Old Owl

A wise old owl sat in an oak,
The more he heard, the less he spoke;
The less he spoke, the more he heard;
Why aren't we all like that wise old bird?

The Predator Stalks

Cat on the prowl in the neighborhood,
Cat on the prowl looking for food;
The birds and the squirrel from high in their perch,
They caw, and they bark, to give the alert.
