Cut out violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, red squares.  Children string these in that order on varigated yarn with a rigatoni between each color.  Write word "vibgyor" on board and try and teach it to kids.  This activity teaches sequencing and dexterity as well as working with colors.  Yarn aglets are prepared  ahead of time by dipping ends in glue and let dry.  Tape yarn to table on left and have children string color squares and rigatoni in specified  order.  Note green dot indication starting point, and red  dot indicating point at which to stop.
