The moon unit can be used any month with the appropriate moon for the month.  We call our unit the frosty moon unit since the full moon in November is called the frosty moon.  You can make it an ongoing unit and do a special moon each month.  You can decorate room ceiling of room with icicle lights for stars and a big yellow moon.
